  • Nothing Phone (3a) Pro

Nothing launched the Phone (3a) Pro in India in March 2025 at Rs 29,999 for 8 GB plus 128 GB, alongside the Phone (3a). It shares most of its hardware with its sibling but adds a 3x periscope telephoto inside a large circular camera module with a metal ring, giving it a very different look from the regular (3a).

Display and performance match the cheaper model: a 6.77-inch 120Hz AMOLED and the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3, which handles daily use and moderate gaming well. Nothing OS 3.1 on Android 15 brings the Essential Key and Essential Space, with a promise of three years of OS updates and six years of security patches.

The camera system is the reason to choose it: a 50 MP main with OIS, a 50 MP 3x periscope with OIS and an 8 MP ultrawide, plus a 50 MP selfie camera. The periscope makes it one of the cheapest phones with genuine 3x optical zoom and strong 6x results. The 5000 mAh battery and 50W charging carry over. It undercuts the Motorola Edge 60 Pro but lacks its wireless charging.

  • Nothing Phone (3a)

The Phone (3a) launched in India in March 2025 at Rs 24,999 for 8 GB plus 128 GB. It brought telephoto zoom to Nothing's affordable line for the first time and introduced the Essential Key, a dedicated side button that captures screenshots, voice notes and ideas into Essential Space, Nothing's AI-powered organiser.

Its 6.77-inch flexible AMOLED runs at 120Hz with high brightness, and the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 offers a meaningful step up over the Phone (2a) in both performance and efficiency. The Glyph lights return, arranged around a horizontal camera island, and the phone gains IP64 protection. Nothing OS 3.1 on Android 15 promises three years of OS updates.

The triple camera, a 50 MP main with OIS, a 50 MP 2x telephoto and an 8 MP ultrawide, is versatile for the price, with portraits a highlight. The 5000 mAh battery lasts well over a day, with 50W charging. Against the Realme 14 Pro and Redmi Note 14 Pro, the (3a) wins on telephoto flexibility and clean software, though the ultrawide is weak.

  • Nothing Phone (2a) Plus

Nothing launched the Phone (2a) Plus in India in July 2024 at Rs 27,999 for 8 GB plus 256 GB, just four months after the Phone (2a). Rather than a new design, it was a mid-cycle upgrade with a metallic finish in Grey or Black, a faster chip, more storage and better selfie hardware, aimed at buyers who found the (2a) slightly short on performance.

The Dimensity 7350 Pro is a modest step up from the 7200 Pro, about ten percent quicker in practice, with the same 6.7-inch 120Hz AMOLED display. Nothing OS 2.6 on Android 14 is unchanged in its clean, minimal approach. The Glyph lights now support more custom ringtones and notification patterns.

The rear pairing of a 50 MP main and 50 MP ultrawide carries over, but the front camera moves from 32 MP to 50 MP and records 4K video. The 5000 mAh battery gains 50W charging, slightly faster than before. Against the OnePlus Nord CE4 and Realme 13 Pro, it is a sensible choice for buyers who want the (2a) experience with more headroom.

  • Nothing Phone (2a)

The Phone (2a) launched in India in March 2024 at Rs 23,999 for 8 GB plus 128 GB, making Nothing's design accessible to a much larger audience. It was also partly designed with Indian buyers in mind, and its horizontal camera layout, framed by three Glyph light strips, gave it a friendly, slightly retro look distinct from its pricier siblings.

The 6.7-inch flexible AMOLED runs at 120Hz with thin, even bezels. The custom MediaTek Dimensity 7200 Pro is efficient and fast enough for everyday use and moderate gaming, broadly matching the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 in the Redmi Note 13 Pro. Nothing OS 2.5 over Android 14 stays clean, with no bloatware and three years of OS updates promised.

The two 50 MP cameras, a main with OIS and an ultrawide, produce good daylight photos with natural tones. Battery life is a strength, with the 5000 mAh cell easily reaching a day and a half, and 45W charging. It lacks wireless charging and has only IP54, but against the Redmi Note 13 Pro and Realme 12 Pro it offers cleaner software and a more memorable design.

  • Nothing Phone (2)

Nothing launched the Phone (2) in India in July 2023 at Rs 44,999 for 8 GB plus 128 GB, pushing the brand into premium territory. It refined the Phone (1) design with a subtly curved glass back, more segmented Glyph lights and new functions such as a progress bar that can track an Uber or food delivery, and a Glyph timer.

The 6.7-inch LTPO OLED adapts from 1 to 120Hz and is noticeably bigger and brighter than its predecessor's screen. The Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 was a previous-generation flagship chip but still fast and efficient, comfortably ahead of the OnePlus Nord 3's Dimensity 9000. Nothing OS 2.0 introduced the monochrome icons and widgets that became a signature of the brand.

The dual 50 MP cameras, with a Sony IMX890 main and a Samsung JN1 ultrawide, improved processing but remained a step behind the OnePlus 11R and Pixel 7a. The 4700 mAh battery lasts a full day, with 45W wired and 15W wireless charging. It is a polished, distinctive alternative to Samsung and OnePlus at the upper end of mid-range.

  • Nothing Phone (1)

The Nothing Phone (1) launched in India in July 2022 at Rs 32,999 for 8 GB plus 128 GB, and its arrival was one of the most hyped launches of the year. Carl Pei's new company built the phone around a transparent back with Glyph Interface LED strips that light up for calls, notifications and charging status, a design that genuinely looked unlike anything else on sale.

Beneath the lights is a solid mid-range package. The 6.55-inch flexible OLED has uniform bezels and runs at 120Hz, and the Snapdragon 778G+ provides good everyday performance, though behind the Snapdragon 870 in rivals like the iQOO Neo 6. Nothing OS 1.0 is a clean, quick skin over Android 12 with custom widgets and a dot-matrix font.

The dual 50 MP cameras, a Sony IMX766 main with OIS and a Samsung JN1 ultrawide, deliver pleasant results in daylight but are ordinary at night. The 4500 mAh battery gives a day of use, with 33W wired, 15W wireless and reverse wireless charging. Against the OnePlus Nord 2T it offered a far more distinctive design and wireless charging, though early software bugs hurt its reputation.

  • Google Pixel 9a

The Pixel 9a launched in India in April 2025 at Rs 49,999 for 8 GB plus 256 GB. It dropped the camera visor that defined Pixel design since 2021 in favour of a nearly flush camera module, giving it a clean look. It also upgraded to IP68 dust and water resistance and carried over Google's seven-year update commitment.

The 6.3-inch Actua pOLED runs at 120Hz and is notably brighter than the Pixel 8a's panel, though the bezels remain thicker than on rivals. Tensor G4 is the same chip as the Pixel 9 series, delivering smooth everyday performance and Gemini features, even if 8 GB of RAM limits some on-device AI functions compared with its pricier siblings.

The camera pairing is a 48 MP main with OIS and a 13 MP ultrawide, producing reliably good results with strong low-light processing. Battery capacity grows to 5100 mAh, the largest in any A-series Pixel, with 23W wired and 7.5W wireless charging. Against the OnePlus 13R and Galaxy A56, it wins on camera consistency and support length rather than speed.

  • Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold

Google brought the Pixel 9 Pro Fold to India in August 2024 at Rs 1,72,999 for 16 GB plus 256 GB, the first Pixel foldable sold in the country. It abandoned the short, wide shape of the original Pixel Fold for a taller design whose 6.3-inch cover screen feels like a normal phone, and an 8-inch inner display that is the largest on any foldable of its year.

The inner LTPO OLED and the cover screen both run at up to 120Hz with high brightness. The phone is thin when open and uses Tensor G4 with 16 GB of RAM, enough for multitasking and Gemini features. Software support for split screen and the taskbar is good, though the Galaxy Z Fold 6 offers more refined multitasking tools and Snapdragon performance.

Cameras are a step below the slab Pixel 9 Pro: a 48 MP main, a 10.5 MP ultrawide and a 10.8 MP 5x telephoto, still producing reliable Pixel results. The 4650 mAh battery lasts a day, though charging is slow at 21W. Against the Z Fold 6 it offers a more usable cover screen and better camera processing, but loses on performance and the IP rating, which is only IPX8.

  • Google Pixel 9 Pro XL

The Pixel 9 Pro XL launched in India in August 2024 at Rs 1,24,999 for 16 GB plus 256 GB. It is the large-screen version of the Pixel 9 Pro and the successor to the Pixel 8 Pro, positioned against the Galaxy S24 Ultra and iPhone 16 Pro Max. The flat aluminium sides and rounded corners make it more comfortable than its size suggests.

Its 6.8-inch LTPO OLED runs at 1344 x 2992 and up to 120Hz, with excellent brightness and colour accuracy. Tensor G4 and 16 GB of RAM drive Gemini Live, Pixel Screenshots, Add Me and Magic Editor. As with earlier Tensor phones, sustained gaming performance and heat management are behind Qualcomm's best, but the phone feels quick in daily use.

Cameras are identical to the smaller Pro: a 50 MP main, 48 MP ultrawide, 48 MP 5x telephoto and a 42 MP selfie camera, all capable of excellent results, with Video Boost for cloud-processed footage. The 5060 mAh battery is the largest in the 2024 Pixel line, charging at up to 37W with a compatible adapter. The S24 Ultra counters with the S Pen and 10x zoom.

  • Google Pixel 9 Pro

For the first time Google offered its Pro-tier Pixel in a compact size. The Pixel 9 Pro was announced for India in August 2024 at Rs 1,09,999 for 16 GB plus 256 GB, sharing the 6.3-inch footprint of the regular Pixel 9 while adding the telephoto camera, a sharper LTPO screen and more memory. It competed directly with the iPhone 16 Pro.

The Super Actua LTPO display runs at 1280 x 2856 and up to 120Hz, with very high peak brightness. Tensor G4 with 16 GB of RAM handles Gemini Nano and Google's AI suite smoothly, though gaming performance and efficiency still trail Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and Apple's A18 Pro. The polished frame and matte glass back give it a premium feel.

Its triple camera, with a 50 MP main, 48 MP ultrawide and 48 MP 5x telephoto, is among the most consistent of its year, and the 42 MP selfie camera with autofocus is a big step up for video calls and group shots. The 4700 mAh battery lasts a day with 27W charging. For buyers wanting a small phone with a top-tier zoom camera, few alternatives existed on Android.
